The CzechMates Ukraine Status Update

While the proximity of the Ukraine conflict may seem initially disconcerting to prospective participants, the direct impact upon the Czech Republic and Brno is virtually undetectable to the average student. In short, daily life is normal. 

‍While the country and its citizens continue to assist and support Ukraine, the Czech Republic (as a NATO member) is currently in NO immediate danger with regard to the violence occurring over 1000 miles away. 

Nonetheless, this current crisis is a fact of our world, and as such, remains a more immediate concern for us all. But it remains the expectation and priority that the student experience in the CzechMates program will be free of any direct or immediate concerns for one’s safety in relation to the conflict.
